In the choreography "Kreatur" dance grows out of tensions between creatures that share the same living space. Experienced turmoil, ecstasy and search for protection allow the dancers to merge into a single creature, only to dissolve again into individual fates, to enter into new conflicts and connections. In the struggle of these beings with the chaos of their own impulses, private and social challenges of our present are reflected.

 

»Kreatur« is an interplay of artistic voices that are linked by a strong interdisciplinary attitude. The sculptural, organic and technoid-looking costumes were created by Iris van Herpen, the Dutch fashion designer, who combines traditional craftsmanship with innovative digital technology, known around the world for her progressive work.
